Besides TS's tactical genius, for me the star attractions of this chapter were Fatty's avatar/domain and Mubai/ZZQ's Hell White Tiger. The latter gets to be so powerful that even TS says he'd be loath to face it..

Next challenge is similar to the first in its simplicity, but I was always partial to it just because it's so innate to the sea. It would definitely be one of the first to come to mind if I had to create my own tests.

Ah.. I didn’t know you actually like the third trial! I’m bit embarrassed to admit it’s my second fav after the 4th trial. But I can’t decide which is my No. 3: either the last trial or the showdown between TS and Bo Saixi!

I listened to the audiobook and damn TS was freaking awesome. Though I still need a translator but I can totally imagine that last scene when TS who in everyone’s eyes has gone out of his mind to attack Bo Saixi with his 8th skill. But all he wanted was to get blasted back to the Sea by Bo Saixi in order to escape. He even thanked her for the “lift” when he was blasted off! 🤣🤣 That’s my boy! That’s why I love him so much!

Ya as much as I preferred the pre-SG Trial material, the trials are all entertaining asf and I'd have a hell of a time ranking them!

I really like Hu Liena, if only author allowed our boy a second wife or if Xiao Wu wasn't around.

This. Even worse, the author pulls the same trick by including the coolest cat in the whole show (Tang Chen)..in the SAME F'ing scene 🤦‍♂️🤬. A double kick in the nuts. It's one of those scenes that you'll equally love and hate 😂.

Yes, the third trial is coming! It’s not the most interesting but somehow it’s one of my favs. Felt like a masochist to admit I like the idea of them tied to the poles for hours on end. 😜

Once again, great balance of Shrek and other character development. Hu Liena, damn I miss her.

I love that they made up ZZQ’s birthday here. She’s definitely the most neglected Shrek devil in the novel.

But what’s a bit disappointing for me is that they left out Oscar’s display of his F7th ring ability. That would have been a scene! Imagine this:

2-3 episodes per trial for a total of 7 trials. So probably another 10-15 episodes for the trials and maybe 3-4 after that before they go back.
This is all me estimating based on the current pace of the show so don't take it too seriously.

I like Bai personality as well of them passing the test. It shows each of their characters and how they have grown as much as their power.
My only issue is one episode a week sigh.

In the novel everything seemed to move at a decent pace.

novel is perfect, manga too slow anime too fast. All perfectly balance
